President Rodrigo Duterte showed disappointment over the delayed justice for the 44 Special Action Forces (SAF) soldiers killed in an encounter with Moro rebels.
Former president Benigno Aquino III was like he never did anything to give equity to the family of 44 soldiers.
Duterte said he was in the meeting in Zamboanga when Aquino sat down with some mayors in Mindanao, generals, and former Interior Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas just after the tragedy. Duterte who was Davao City Mayor at that time, said he could not bear to stay in the meeting.
Duterte requested to declare January 25 as the “National Memorial Day” for the fallen SAF 44 so they would be able to memorialize the death of fallen 44. Aeron Loza reports.
