EVERY NATION CAMPUS
What I learned from them
I'm honest that I'm not into religious organization. I have these cousins and friends from Southgate Subdivision in Tayabas, Quezon where they always encouraging me to join their organization which is the Youth for Christ. I didn't join, why? I'm too busy doing all the school works everyday and I have no time anymore to go there and join them in their prayer meetings and all those stuffs. Besides, I can praise God on my own. I don't need those organizations where in fact I can have my own ways on how will I praise Him, be thankful for all the blessings I'm receiving everyday, and feel sorry for all the sins I have done each day.
One time, a religious organization from Victory Lucena visited our school, which is the Quezon National High School, they go to every class to discuss and share something about personal challenges and of course, they share how God guides us to solve those problems we have. Before the discussion, we played this game which we should make the english word of all those vegetables in the song "Bahay-Kubo" in order, but all of us only made a guess on what is the english of this vegetable, those, and that. Then after, someone from the team shared the story of David and Goliath. He told us all the quotations from the said story and explain to us what does that quotations mean. To be honest, I feel sleepy when he's sharing the story and talking in front, I don't know why but I just do.
But, when he ended the story and he told us that we will have an open forum, I woke up in reality again. When the open forum started, one of the member from the team went to my group, I am with Alliyah, Joyce, and Kelly that time. She introduced herself to us, which is Ate Ayra, and she read our names written on our press tags, then after, she asked what are the challenges or problems we are experiencing these days. I didn't share my personal problem with her or with any of those persons with me that time, I just don't feel sharing it because that problem is only between me and that person behind my broken heart. I only shared what I'm encountering and how I solve my academic problems, like I don't have enough time to finish all the school works in just a night, like that. On the other hand, Alliyah and Joyce shared their personal challenges in their lives.
But for now, it's only among the five of us who knows what they shared to us. After sharing our personal challenges or problems in lives, Ate Ayra gave us all the advices related to what we have said. We all cried, of course, we can't avoid that. After, we took pictures as a remembrance and we had our group hug. What I learned from their team or family, or whatever they call themselves as one, although I know that God is always there for me and guiding me each day, God has a plan and purpose why He gives these challenges or problems in our lives. He don't want us to suffer but embrace those obstacles in life and have an enough strength to break all those walls way to our future.
He will always be there for us to guide us and of course, He is always there to love us. We may not see him physically, but we feel Him by our hearts. He should be the center of our lives because He is the father of all and created all things in the world. I'm not regretting not joining any of organizations I know, it doesn't matter to me. What matter to me, is that I always have time to be thankful to all of that I have because I have Him in my heart.
